Enjoy more than a dozen different art shows featuring work by more than a dozen accomplished regional artists in Pittsfield's bustling Upstreet Cultural District during the First Friday Artswalk and all month long!
In most venues, artists will be present from 5-8 p.m. A free guided tour begins at 5 p.m. at the Intermodal Center @ BRTA, 1 Columbus Ave.
The Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, located at 28 Renne Ave.,
will present Dreaming of Light, an exhibition of oil paintings by Sean McCusker.
And don't miss the Painted Piano Pop-Up Concert at Park Square!
Sherri James Buxton and Bob Shepherd bring their summer cabaret workshop from Berkshire Music School to Park Square 5:45 to 6 pm on Friday 8/3 during First Fridays Artswalk! See below for more on the Painted Piano Project.

Mission Bar + Tapas presents a concert with Brooklyn-based duo Charming Disaster, a.k.a. singer/songwriters Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the noir of Raymond Chandler, murder ballads and cabaret, they write songs that tell stories, combining vocal harmonies and clever lyrics with ukulele, guitar and foot percussion. 7-9 p.m.

Goodwill Job Readiness Trainers will be at the Berkshire Athenaeum for 3 free "Lunch & Learns" on Aug. 7, 14 and 21. Registration is for all 3 sessions and each session will last for approximately 2 hours. Goodwill Job Trainers help people ages 18 & older from all walks of life gain operational skills, soft skills and 'real work' experience to strengthen their family's economic status. The topics are tailored to the needs of the participants with a focus on job seeking and job retention. FREE. Registration is required. 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Painted Pianos!
Check out four of the 15 Berkshire Music School's Painted Pianos that are located in Pittsfield. There is one at Park Square, Palace Park, the Common and the Berkshire Music School. Please sit down and play the pianos and tell your friends to do the same. The Painted Piano Project culminates in an auction at the Berkshire Music School on Sunday, August 26.
