NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Sherri Gordon hit two home runs to help lead Bigg Daddy’s Philly Cheesesteaks to a 20-14 win that forced a winner-take-all finale in the Pat Torchia Softball League Championship Series on Thursday night.

Bigg Daddy’s and MetLife will play again on Friday evening at MCLA’s  Zavattaro Athletics Complex to decide the best-of-three series.

Gordon hit her second homer, a two-run blast down the left field line, in a seven-run, fourth-inning rally that broke open an 8-8 game.

Bigg Daddy’s tacked on four more in the fifth to go ahead, 19-8 and was able to hold off a late MetLife push.

Gordon went 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBIs and scored four times.

Becky Duquette was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Laura Malloy-O’Neill went 3-for-4.

Robin Finnegan homered, driving in three runs in the bottom of the second to erase a 6-3 MetLife lead.

MetLife’s Kristin (Paryzch) Hildabrand went 4-for-5 with a home run, and Ally Sheldon and Ashton Smead each homered in a five-run sixth that helped MetLife pull within six at 19-13.

But Bigg Daddy’s Jen Choquette bore down in the top of the seventh, working around three hits and stranding two runners on a ground ball to Finnegan at short to end the game.
