BCAC "ELF" program needs your help

Print | Email
The Berkshire Community Action Council needs your help. The Pittsfield-based non-profit service agency operates the Elf Tree at the information desk at the Berkshire mall and this year, over 300 names of children are still on it. BCAC's Shirley McDonald told WUPE/WUHN News yesterday that she has 11-days to go before the Elf Tree is retired for the year. In that time, she is asking that shoppers at the Berkshire Mall stop by the Elf Tree, take a name or two of a child off the tree, purchase a gift and return it to the information desk within the next 11 days. McDonald said if any names are left on the tree when the program ends in 11 days, there is no guarantee that any names left over will receive Christmas gifts this year.
