PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The opening weekend of the spring season saw all Soccer Domain Academy travel teams on the road and looking forward to start the season.

Both the U13 girls and U14 boys opened with victories. The U15 girls and U12 boys both lost.

It was a great day for the opening Sunday of the season the sun was shining and everyone was keen for their matches to get under way, SDA teams travelled towards Boston for their fixtures all looking to achieve the best possible start of the season.

The U13 girls began with a fantastic start to their campaign, a 2-1 win against a strong GPS Metro Boston team. The girls kept their shape and discipline throughout the match and fought hard to come back from a 1-0 deficit SDA displayed a lot of character and desire to win, in order to fight their way back into the game and gain themselves three points.

The U12 boys travelled away from home to face GPS Boston Metro Reds. After taking the lead through an early goal, this proved to be a difficult challenge for the first match of the season against a strong opposition. And the Metro Reds prevailed, 6-1.

SDA U14 boys traveled to SFC this weekend for the opening game. They began the season in a magnificent fashion with a 5-0 win over their opponents. The match started very evenly with positive attacking play from both sides, confirming their determination to get their season off to the best possible start. SDA grew into the game and started to take control of the individual battles.

SDA U15 girls traveled to Stars of Massachusetts Athletic. After an even start of the game, the Stars team edged SDA in their physical play and controlled most of the possession. SDA managed to get a goal and with some good defending, battling and goalkeeping the girls managed to hold out throughout a tough first half. But the Stars pulled away for a 5-3 win after half-time.
