ADAMS, Mass. – Although the event was postponed last month because of rain, Hijinx will return to Park Street this Monday.

 

Organizer Joseph Martin said people can expect a much bigger street fair this year.

 

"There are about maybe 80 vendors," he said. "We wanted to make it bigger this year."

 

Martin said along with the pony rides there will be a DJ, a bouncy house, and more games.

 

"There are a lot of games this year we have a lot more stuff for the kids," he said. 

 

Martin said it is important to keep these events going in Adams.

 

"Adams I such a small town and everybody knows everybody, and it is great thing together," he said. "We want to try to do more of these events…all of the stuff that I grew up with as a kid we want to try to bring back."

 

Martin said in the future they may move Hijinx night to a different location. Because the event is being held later in the summer and it gets dark earlier, he said it may be safer to hold the event away from traffic.

 

Martin said the event starts at 6 and ends at 9 and urged everyone to go. 

 

"It is a great night to get out and stroll Park St. and you meet people that you may not have seen in a while," he said.

 

"It is just great to get together and it helps build community. We want everybody  to come together and have a grand old time."
