What is Walk with Me in the Berkshires?

April 15 - May 26, 2013

Program Guidelines

The Program

Berkshire Health Systems, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Greylock Federal Credit Union, Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Mt. Greylock Extended Care, Fairview Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Kimball Farms of Lenox, Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center, Williamstown Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, North Adams Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, HospiceCare in The Berkshires, Troy's Promotions, Pittsfield Council on Aging and iBerkshires.com have sponsored a walking program to encourage Berkshire County residents to increase their physical activity. Designed for people of all ages and abilities, the program's first 2,000 registrants will receive one free pedometer to help motivate them to increase the number of steps that they take each day. At the conclusion of the program walkers will receive a Walk with Me t-shirt.

Committing to having your name and number of steps shown on the Berkshire Health Systems and Iberkshires.com web sites is a requirement for participation in the program (and allows you to see how your team is doing, as well as the steps recorded by other teams).

Walk with Me in the Berkshires is not a fundraising effort. Running from April 15h through May 26th, the goal of the program is simply to get people to exercise more!
