Clayton A. Nichols, 69

HANCOCK, Mass. —  Clayton A. Nichols (Clayt) age 69 passed away at his home Monday May 13, 2024. He was born July 11, 1954, in North Adams, MA to Joan Nichols (Sanguinet) and Clayton J. Nichols.

Clayt worked for J.H. Maxymillian Construction for his entire career until he retired in 2011. After retirement he stayed busy working at Jiminy Peak, mowing lawns and he was the caretaker for all the windmills in Hancock.

He was an avid hunter; he had many trophy bucks in his collection. He had a great love of car racing and could always be found at Lebanon Valley Speedway on Saturday nights and watching NASCAR every Sunday. Clayt also loved playing cards and spent many nights playing Texas hold ‘em.

Clayt was the second born of seven and he was a beloved brother, Uncle, Great Uncle and Friend.

All are welcome to attend a memorial service with interment at the Hancock Cemetery on Saturday, June 1 at 11 am, with a celebration of life to be held immediately after. If you would like to pay tribute to Clayton please consider donating to the Hancock Volunteer Fire department.
