Gail Ann Benoit White, 56, of 215 Richview Ave., died Tuesday at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center, where she was admitted on June 16.
Born in Adams, on July 6, 1950, daughter of Catherine Quirk Chilson and the late Harold Chilson, she attended schools in North Adams.
She was first employed by the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. She was primarily a homemaker. She also assisted her late husband, Gary Benoit, in the operation of Benoit Trucking.
Mrs. White enjoyed oil painting and watercolors.
Her first husband, Gary A. Benoit, died June 7, 1999. They were married June 29, 1968.
Besides her mother of North Adams, she leaves her husband, Thomas E. White, whom she married Sept. 16, 2006; a daughter, Candice Benoit-Peck of North Adams, two brothers, Allen Chilson of Lake Geneva, Wis., and William Chilson of North Adams; and a sister, Debra Chilson of Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Gail Benoit White, who died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, will be held Monday, July 9, at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA home for funerals, central chapels, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, with Capt. James Eager of the North Adams Salvation Army officiating.
Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the funeral. Donations may be made to F.O.R.D. at Berkshire Medical Center in care of the funeral home.
Survivors include three nieces and nephews including Nicole Gervasio, Stephen Chilson, and Justyn Wilk. A sister, Sandra Chilson is deceased.
