Lee R. Martin

Lee Robert Martin, 44, of Main St., Housatonic, died Tuesday. Born in Great Barrington on Sept. 12, 1956, son of Ruth J. Rourk Martin Kulas, and the late Frederick R. Martin, he graduated from Monument Mountain Regional High School in 1974. A painting subcontractor, he painted many houses in the South County area. An avid outdoorsman and bow hunter, he was a member of the Lee Sportsmen's Club and the Massachusetts Bowhunting Association. Besides his mother of Housatonic, he leaves his wife, the former Tina Dennis; two daughters, Marissa Martin of Housatonic and Ashley Martin of South Egremont; two brothers, David Martin of Housatonic and Bruce Martin of Alford; a stepfather, Victor Kulas of Housatonic; his maternal grandmother, Mildred Rourk of Housatonic, and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 1, at 1 at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, Great Barrington, with the Rev. Jerry Vargo, pastor of the Calvary Christian Chapel, officiating. There are no calling hours. Those who desire may make donations to the Massachusetts State Police Canine Unit in care of the Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
