Dolores M. Waterhouse, 81

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dolores "Dee" M. (Pedercini) Waterhouse, 81, of North Adams, Mass., died Friday, October 12, 2018, at the home of her daughter in North Adams.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on July 11, 1937, daughter of Dominick and Cecilia M. (Hamelin) Pedercini. She attended local schools and graduated from the Drury High School. Dolores was last employed by the Northern Berkshire YMCA, where she worked for many years until her retirement in 2017.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Dolores enjoyed crafts, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She was the widow of William John Waterhouse Sr., who died on December 23, 1994.  They were married on July 19, 1959.

Survivors include her daughter, Terry A. Hartman and her husband, Mark, of North Adams; her son William J. Waterhouse Jr. of Silver Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren, including Ashlee Falco and her husband, Nicholas, Samantha Hartman, Lynda Lefaver and her fiancé Matthew Smith, Dylan Waterhouse, and William J. Waterhouse III and his fiancée Maxine Santiago; her seven great-grandchildren, including Celia, Marguerite, Ziona, Tymothy, Matthew, Alizay, and William; two sisters, Geraldine Pedercini of North Adams and Anita Flowers of Wakefield, R.I.; two brothers, Anthony Pedercini and Robert Pedercini, both of North Adams; and nieces and nephews, including Charlene Prince, who was one of her primary caregivers.

Her son, Shawn A. Waterhouse, died on January 28, 2008.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Dolores Waterhouse will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.  

Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to PopCares Inc. in care of the funeral home.
