Marlene A. Salvi, 69
CHESHIRE, Mass. — Marlene A. (Szafranski) Salvi, 69, of Cheshire died on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She was born in Adams on September 8, 1949, daughter of the late Theodore and Florence (Kondej) Szafranski. She attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and graduated from the former Adams High School in 1967. Upon graduation she worked at the General Electric Company in Pittsfield. She married Richard Salvi September 6, 1969.
Marlene was a stay-at-home Mom for several years. After raising her children, she worked several years with special needs children at Cheshire Elementary and CT Plunkett Elementary School as a teacher's aide.
Marlene enjoyed family gatherings, bowling, aerobics, travel, and cheering her sons on in their various sports activities.
She is survived by her two sons, Marc Salvi and his wife Kimberly of Clinton, Mass., and Eric Salvi and his wife Bobbie Jo of Cheshire; a younger brother, Michael Szafranski of Gilbert, Ariz.; and two grandchildren Jacob T. Salvi and Brittany Salvi-Persson and her husband Evan. She was also loved and will be remembered by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
