Patricia D. Alden, 83

LEE, Mass. — Patricia Dale Alden, 83, of Lee died December 7, 2018, at Fairview Hospital.

Born in Boston, Mass., on August 24, 1935, to the late William and Olga Paderson Jones, she attended Islip High School in New York, where she grew up.

Mrs. Alden worked in administration at the Eagleton School for 25 years, retiring in 2007. She enjoyed traveling, especially her trips to Ireland. She cherished her family and friends.

Patricia is survived by her children, Deborah Goldsmith (Roy) of Newcastle, Maine, Michael Alden of Lee, Christopher Alden (Michelle) of Lenox Dale, Wendy Lampro (Fred) of Otis, and David Alden (Kathleen) of West Stockbridge; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Kathy Jones. 

Besides her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her daughter, Kelly Alden; her siblings, Bruce and Marcia; and her former husband Carl “Chuck” Alden.

Funeral notice: A graveside service will be held on December 17, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery in Lenox. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or Hospice Care in the Berkshires, both in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
