Bradford W. Biron, 44

LEE, Mass. — Bradford William Biron, 44, of Wilmington, North Carolina, formerly of Lee, died unexpectedly, of natural causes, January 24, 2019, at his home.

Brad was born October 8, 1974, the son of L. Gilbert and Margaret "Peg" McGowan Biron. Brad was raised in Lee and was educated in the Lee Schools. Growing up, Brad was a Housatonic Street youngster, making the most of its playground and the LYA. He loved all sports and played many; however, golf was his passion. He was part of the Southern Berkshire Championship Team, Western Mass, and was captain of the 1993 Lee High Golf Team.

In 1998, Brad moved to North Carolina to practice his carpentry skills, eventually developing them into trim carpentry, which he excelled at. Brad’s love of sports stayed with him throughout his life. He was an ardent fan of both the New England Patriots and the New York Yankees, cheering on each team.

His smile and his laugh were not to be duplicated.

Besides his parents, Gil and Peg Biron of Lee, Brad leaves behind his sister, Celeste Libby, her husband, Dave and their daughter, Ana, of Portland, Maine; his twin brother, Ben, of Martha;s Vineyard; and his cousins, Pat and Mike McGowan and Monique Lussier and their families.

Funeral notice: A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home with Rev. William Neil, presiding. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Brad’s memory to either the Lee Youth Association or the Lee High School Golf Team, in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
