Robert E. Lavigne, 82
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Robert E. Lavigne, 82, of North Adams, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at South Western Vermont Medical Center.
He was born in Adams on April 6, 1937, son of the late Wilfred and Blanche (LaBelle) Lavigne. He attended schools in North Adams and graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School, North Adams.
Mr. Lavigne worked as the produce manager for the former Adams Supermarket in North Adams. He enjoyed bowling and reading.
His wife, the former Carol Ann Laughlin, whom he married on May 25, 1957, died on June 14, 2018.
He is survived by his daughter, Michele Haskins of Pownal and by two grandsons, Jason and Jared Haskins.
He was predeceased by a brother Bernard Lavigne and by two half-brothers Leo and Lawrence Lavigne.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 10:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Calling hours are Friday, April 12, 2019, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The family requests the omission of flowers and suggest memorial donations be made to Northern Berkshire EMS, P.O. Box 1045, North Adams, MA 01247.
