Stephen Bednarczyk, 60

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Stephen “Stevie Ray” Bednarczyk, 60, of Cheshire died on September 13, 2019, at Berkshire Medical Center following a brief illness, with his family by his side.

He was born in Pittsfield on December 26, 1958, a son of the late Stephen R. Bednarczyk and Mary (Lyon) Leab of Cheshire.

Stevie leaves his loving wife, Donna (Kleiner) Bednarczyk and her daughter and grandchildren. He leaves mother Mary Leab and his siblings, including Donna McMahon and her husband Guy, Diane Burdick and her husband Randy, Deborah Dion and Edward Bednarczyk. He also leaves his sister-in-law Dawn Bednarczyk and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard Bednarczyk; and stepfather Phillip Leab.

Stevie will always be remembered as a kind soul. He was willing to help anyone in need. He had a love for all music. His greatest passion was playing his guitar. Stevie also enjoyed gardening, and tinkering with his most “prized possessions.” He treasured his time spent with family and friends.

Stevie Ray always wanted to make sure everyone knew they were loved. He will always be remembered by his quote, “If nobody told you they loved you today, I do.”

Funeral notice: A celebration of life for Stephen “Stevie Ray” Bednarczyk will be held September 21, 2019, at noon. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 457 Lanesboro Road, Cheshire, to celebrate at that time.
