Bryce P. Robare, 34
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — It is with a sad and heavy heart that we inform the community that our beloved Bryce was overcome by his long term struggle with substance abuse Monday, October 7, 2019. Unfortunately, like thousands of others, Bryce couldn’t seem to kick the demons of addiction for a healthy life we all dreamed he would have. Most recently, Bryce had been doing well after spending months in a sober living facility working the 12 steps and then staying with a friend while trying to start a new life. We’re forever thankful he had that opportunity.
Most of the time, Bryce was so much more than his addiction. He was a big brother who loved to prank his younger sisters; he loved playing hockey and spending time outdoors. He loved to fish with his father and uncles and work on home projects and shoot darts and pool with his mom.
Born November 9, 1984, Bryce had a passion for protecting the environment and was a lifelong learner. He was often caught watching the history challenge and giving us the Spark Notes on his favorite documentaries. He was a skilled carpenter, always proud to show you his completed projects and enjoyed making stained glass art. You could always count on Bryce for a good laugh and an even better hug. We wish Bryce could have seen what we saw in him and why we were always hoping he would write a different ending than he did Monday.
He was predeceased by his grandmother Dianne; grandfathers Harold and James; and cousin Jessica.
Bryce leaves behind his biggest fan club: his parents Peg and Pete; his sisters Kelsey and Ellyn; three very special aunts, Emilee, Donna and Mary; his grandmother Isabelle; grandfather Dick; and many uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral notice: Bryce’s services will be private but we ask that those who knew Bryce find a way to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Addiction Connection Resource, 1804 Harford Road, Fallston MD 21047 or another substance abuse program in honor of Bryce and his cousin Jessica. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
