David A. LaValley, 65
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - David Anthony LaValley, 65, of North Adams, Mass., died Saturday November 9, 2019, at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born October 1, 1954, to the late Leo W. LaValley and the late Martha (Belouin) LaValley, David was an important member of a large family. He attended city schools, including McCann Technical School, and was employed at a variety of local businesses. He was proud of his time at Sprague Electric, where he was union steward. Prior to his illness, he was employed at Walmart as an overnight stockman.
David enjoyed local travel, and especially camping. Many family memories revolve around the special camping trips he and his parents took each summer season. David was an excellent son and cared well for his parents alongside his best friend and sister Kimberly LaValley, and brother Peter LaValley.
David enjoyed the Boston Red Sox and to a lesser extent sports in general. He had a special relationship with his nephew Bruce Hillard, an avid Yankees fan, and they enjoyed many spirited conversations. David didn't have children, but helped raise his nephew Beau Lescarbeau.
In heaven, David joins his parents, Leo and Martha, his brothers Lawrence and Stephen, his sister Mary Beth, and his sister in law Susan Murphy.
He is survived by sister Kimberly LaValley, brothers Peter A. LaValley, Richard LaValley, Michael LaValley and Shaun LaValley, and sisters in law Tammy LaValley, Mary Jane Wagner, Janet LaValley, Nancy LaValley and Lynn Faustini-LaValley. He leaves nieces and nephews, including Stephen, Laura, Daniel, Martha, Bruce, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Peter, Christopher, Seth, Elizabeth, Amanda, John, Beau, Frankie-Ann, Shaun, and Kaitlin, as well as foster and step-nieces: Tracy, Kelly, Lisa, Bonnie, Brenda, Pennie, and Debbie. Great-nieces and nephews include Leo, Jonnie, Charles, Alysia, Aleyda, Eli, Isabelle, Zoey, Donovan, Spencer, Conner, Andrew, Morgan, Madelyn, Jack, Mae, Marcus, Breanna, Zachary, Oliver, Landon, Clark, John, Julius, ZJ, and Finn.
