Debbie J. Dix, 65

ADAMS, Mass. —  Debbie (Drury) Dix, 65, of Adams, died peacefully at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield on Saturday, November 23, 2019, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side after many years of failing health caused from smoking.

She was born in North Adams on July 10, 1954, daughter of the late William and Verna (Blair) Drury. She attended schools in North Adams, including Drury High School. She received her GED in 1992. Debbie was an amazing artist who loved drawing. She was an avid fan of local history, specifically Adams and North Adams. She spent a great deal of time researching the towns, both in print and in person on her "adventures." She also enjoyed doing crossword and logic puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kline and her husband Dustin of North Adams; her granddaughter, Jadyn Elizabeth Kline of North Adams, whom she adored and loved spending time with; her sister Nancy Schaffer of Milford, Conn.; four nieces; one nephew; and several greatnieces and greatnephews.

She was predeceased by her twin sister, Linda Horn, who died on July 10, 2009.

Debbie’s family would like to thank her dear friend Dan Adelt and the staff at Ad-Lib for the care and support they gave her.

Funeral notice: There are no calling hours or funeral services. Memorial donations may be made to the North Adams Historical Society, 40 Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
