Patricia Tomkiewicz, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Patricia L. (Jones) Tomkiewicz, 80, of North Adams died on Monday, February 10, 2020.

She was born in North Adams on April 18, 1939, a daughter of the late Alden and Anna (McGinnes) Jones. She attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1957. She then graduated from the cosmetology program at the Charles H. McCann Technical High School.

Pat last worked for Crane & Company in North Adams until her retirement. Earlier she had owned and operated the former Hair Fashions Beauty Salon on Eagle Street in North Adams.

She was a member of the Living Hope Community Church in North Adams.

She is survived by her husband, Matthew Tomkiewicz, whom she married on July 23, 1981; two sons, Roger Babeu and his wife Elisabeth of Groveland and Timothy Babeu of Georgetown; one daughter, Jodi Wentz and her husband Gregory of Mogadore, Ohio; three stepsons, Robert Tomkiewicz and his wife Andrea of Adams, Anthony Tomkiewicz and his wife Sharyn of Amesbury and Matthew Tomkiewicz Jr. and his wife Mary Ann of Amesbury; one brother, Larry Jones and his wife Mary of North Adams; 13 grandchildren, Amy Babeu, Carolyn Babeu, Stacy Picone, Timothy Babeu Jr., Nathan Tomkiewicz, Sarah Tomkiewicz, Anthony Tomkiewicz, Jr., Dominic Tomkiewicz, Lucas Tomkiewicz, Ava Lynn Tomkiewicz, Analisa Tomkiewicz, Ryan McGrath and Shannah Lype; four great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews to whom she was "Great Pat; and four sisters-in-law, Sandra Jones, Julie Jones, Patricia Sadlow and Jane Mellilo.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Matthew Hudson; four brothers, Richard, Donald, Charles and Alden Jones Jr.; her two sisters, her twin Priscilla Marchegiani and Gail Dix; and by a sister-in-law, Betty Winslow.

Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 10 a.m. in Living Hope Community Church, River Street, North Adams, officiated by her nephew Larry Jones Jr., pastor. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams.

Calling hours at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, are Friday, February 14, 2020, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Dear Matt, I am so sorry to learn of Pat's passing. I will keep you and family in my thoughts. I will remember her with fun times on the golf course, with a special memory a SVGC when she reached into the cup on 7 to retrieve my hole in one. Play on Pat!
