Gary W. Mendel, 77
ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Gary W. Mendel, 77, of Adams died Sunday morning, July 19, 2020, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
He was born in Adams on January 11, 1943, a son of the late William and Bertha (Kordek) Mendel, and attended Adams schools. Gary last worked at General Electric Co. in Pittsfield for over 25 years, until retiring in 1991.
He had been a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and enjoyed aquariums with colorful fish, gardening and watching movies.
He is survived by his wife, the former Pamela M. Bigda, whom he married on July 23, 1985; a brother, Lance Mendel of New Hampshire; his sister-in-law, Janice Trottier and her husband, Greg, of Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, James Mendel.
