Michael Lapedota, 56
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Michael Lapedota, 56 of North Adams, Mass., died Monday, July 20, 2020, at North Adams Commons.
He was born in Queens, N.Y., on July 15, 1964, a son of the late Natale and Jean (Finocchiaro) Lapedota. He attended North Adams schools and graduated from McCann Technical High School with the class of 1982.
Michael was last employed as an automobile mechanic at Vianor Tire in North Adams. Prior to that, he had lived in Lindenhurst, N.Y., for many years where he worked at the Engine House. Michael enjoyed fishing on the Great South Bay on the south shore of Long Island and riding his bicycle. He was an avid fan of NASCAR.
Survivors include two brothers, Thomas A. (Michelle) Lapedota of Wading River, N.Y., and John (Christine) Lapedota of North Adams, Mass.; and five nieces and nephews.
His brother, Joseph Lapedota died in 1983.
