Eileen Belanger, 92

CLARKSBURG, Mass. —  Eileen Agnes (Ryan) Belanger, 92 of Port Orange, FL and formerly of Clarksburg, MA died Thursday February 18, 2021 at Brookdale in Ormond Beach, FL.

She was born in Adams, MA on November 9, 1928, a daughter of Leo and Frances (Cleary) Ryan. She graduated from the former Adams High School.

Eileen was last employed by the Hoosac Bank in North Adams until her retirement in 1988. Before that, she worked at General Electric Co. and Montgomery Ward.

She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of its Adoration Society. Eileen was a member of the Clarksburg Council on Aging.

She was the widow of Robert Edward Belanger who died on August 5, 2018. They were married on July 31, 1948. Survivors include one daughter- Jane (Brian) Hill of Dennis, MA and one son- Michael R. (Debra) Belanger of Port Orange, FL. She also leaves two grandchildren- Sarah Halili and Ryan M. Belanger; four great grandchildren- Sophia, David, Cora and Benjamin and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by three sisters and five brothers including Doris Maynard, Frances Ordyna, Mary Tondreau, and Robert, Leo, Charles, Thomas and William Ryan.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Eileen Belanger will be at a time to be announced in the spring. Burial will be in Clarksburg Cemetery.
