Mark A. Morse, 78

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Master Gunnery Sergeant Mark Anthony Morse 78 of Lemon Grove CA. and formerly of North Adams, MA, died March 21, 2021. He was born in North Adams on January 4, 1943 a son of the late Charles Morse Jr. and Geraldine (Grady) Morse. Mark attended schools in North Adams including St. Joseph High School.

He was enlisted in the United States Marine Corp from 1967 until 1989 when he was honorably discharged as Master Gunnery Sergeant. He was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife Dolina Diep Morse, two daughters Rebecca Owens and Sarah Morse, one son Mark Morse Jr. Seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters Joyce Forth and Sarah Morse-Field and one brother Joseph Morse. He also leaves his former wife Linda Alfred. He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Morse III and Michael Morse.

Funeral services will take place at Wednesday April 7, 2021 at 11AM at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. Burial with full military honors will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Pownal, VT. Calling hours at the funeral home are Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 AM.
