Francis Beebe Jr.

Francis Edward “Skip” Beebe Jr. 67, of Florida MA died unexpectedly Monday January 25th at his home. He was born in North Adams on October 7th, 1953 a son of the late Francis & Jeannette (Duby) Beebe. He would spend his early years in Williamstown until the family moved to Clarksburg when he was 13. Skip graduated from Drury High School where he was a member of the track and field team. He obtained his Master’s Degree from University of Massachusetts in Business and served in the United States Air Force. He was employed as supervisor at General Electric in Pittsfield & Schenectady until his retirement. Skip was an avid runner in his younger years. He loved Football “Go Hawks”, Fishing, gardening, bee keeping, reading, and spending time with his family. In his younger years he also enjoyed hunting with his dad and his brothers along with their annual salmon fishing trips. Skip always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. Survivors include his daughters Alyssa Sprague of California and Jennifer Zahensky from Adams. He also leaves his eight grand children Olivia, Avery, Jaxon, Jayden, Cami, Chandler, Ginessa, and Ryderlee. Two brothers Thomas (Karen) Beebe from West Stockbridge and David (Shelly) Beebe of Clarksburg. Three sisters, Catherine Beebe from Cheshire, Sherry (Guss) Smith of Northampton, Victoria (Greg) Quink from Connecticut and his step mother Dorothy Beebe of Northampton along with many nieces and nephews. Also his two most loyal constant companions Hank & Nika who would go everywhere with him. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA. on Friday May 7, 2021 at 11 AM.A calling hour will be from 10AM to 11 AM. Burial will follow at Southview Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or any local animal rescue in care of the funeral home. I'm so sad to hear of Skips passing. I remember him from grammar school along with his sister Cathy. I extend my condolences to his family especially his children Alyssa and Jenny.I recently reconnected with him on Facebook. RIP Skip until we all meet again .
