Richard "Rick" Cullen, 55

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  

Mr. Richard “Rick” Stephen Cullen, 55, of Cheshire, died on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at his home.

He was born in Pittsfield on March 30, 1966, a son of Julie (Chivers) Rowan and the late Donald Cullen, Jr. He attended schools in Pittsfield and graduated from Taconic High School.

At the time of his death, Rick was working as a truck driver for Quality Carriers.

He was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire.

Besides his mother of Millsboro, DE, he is survived by his wife, Lisa A. Ryan Cullen, whom he married on November 4, 2017; four brothers, David Parker of Seattle, WA, Patrick Cullen of Tunnel Hill, GA, James Cullen of Grand Cayman Islands and John Cullen of Millsboro, DE; his mother and father-in-law David and Jeanne Ryan of Cheshire; his three cats, Jake, Gracie and Mookie and by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 27th at 9:45 A.M. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Monday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Baystate Children’s Hospital, 759 Chestnut St, Springfield, MA 01199.

Very sad to read this. I spent several years working with Rick while at Filkins Transportation in Pittsfield. Rick was a great driver, good mechanic and welder, always ready with a quick joke. Had a lot of laughs over many cups coffee. Iím very glad to have known him. Condolences to his family and friends.
