Marlene J. Hayden, 88
ADAMS, Mass. —
Mrs. Marlene Joyce (Vokey) Hayden, 88, of Adams, died on Monday, January 3, 2022, at her home.
She was born in Adams on August 12, 1933, daughter of the late Nathaniel and Mildred (Zoltek) Vokey. She attended schools In Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.
Mrs. Hayden last worked for the former Filenes Department Store in the Berkshire Mall before retiring. Earlier she had worked for the former Schiff Clothing Store in Adams and in the cafeteria for the Adams Cheshire Regional School District.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II, Adams, and the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church, where she taught CCD. She had also been a volunteer at Plunkett Elementary School and a Hospice volunteer.
Her husband, Ronald M. Hayden, whom she married on October 9, 1954, died on February 28, 1994.
She is survived by three sons, Dr. Ronald Hayden, M.D. and his wife Nancy of Williamstown, Daniel Hayden and his wife Annette of Copenhagen, Denmark and Keith Hayden and his wife Debra of Savoy; two daughters, Karen Hayden and her husband Kevin Fox of Buckland and Paula Hayden and her wife Rachel Shelton of Loveland, OH; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Friday, January 7th at 11:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Face coverings will be required for anyone attending the calling hours and funeral service.
