Alcide Bullett, 74

Alcide Joseph Bullett Sr., 74, of North Adams died on Friday September 16, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Alcide was born on May 15, 1948 in North Adams, MA a son of the late Arthur J & Dorothy Alice (Clairmont) Bullett.

Sid attended St. Joseph’s High School and graduated with the class of 1966. He then attended St. Joseph College in Bennington, VT. He was a decorated veteran of the US Navy Vietnam Era. Sid was a tax examiner for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 35 years.

Sid was a family man and a provider. Nothing brought him more joy than providing for his family, and spending time with them in his home. His home was the gathering place for decades where Christmas Eves, Thanksgivings, Birthday parties, and all manner of family functions occurred. Sid especially loved time spent with his grandchildren, whether biological or acquired along the road of life. Sid was a father figure to many, always lending a helping hand to those in need. In his youth he was an avid hunter and gardener, and he was a life-long fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox Fan.

Sid leaves his beloved wife, Patricia (Schwarz) Bullett whom he married on January 10, 1980. He also leaves his children, Andrea Owens (David) of Adams, MA and Ann Bullett and her partner Erin Bennett of Adams Ma, as well as his son, Alcide “Sonny” Bullett Jr. and partner Julie Williamson of North Adams. He leaves his grandchildren, Aurora Bullett, Emerson Bullett, and Zoey Dudek. He also leaves his siblings, Arthur Bullett III and his fiancé Nancy Kawa-King, Alan J. (Betsy) Bullett, and Mary Anne Moran. Sid leaves his sister’s in law, Valerie Schwarz, Christine Weeden, Tracy Schwarz, and many nieces and nephews.
