Anne Marie Card, 58

WILMINGTON, NC. — On January 19, 2023, Anne Marie Card, a beloved wife, mother, and sister, passed away peacefully in Wilmington, North Carolina, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and cancer.

She was 58 years old. Anne is survived by husband, Cliff of 41 years. Their children James and David (Ashley) and grandchildren Addison, Landon, Madelyn, Everett and Sawyer. As well as, her sisters Theresa Bissaillon of Titusville, Florida and Kathy Fresia of Dalton, Massachusetts.

Anne devoted her life to her children and children within her community. She spent twenty four years working in the North Carolina school system. Students and coworkers at Mary C. Williams Elementary School and Myrtle Grove Middle School were part of what helped her stay positive and motivated through the years. She was loved by students and her peers. Anne enjoyed the simple things in life and spending time with her family. To know her was to love her.

Anne was determined to beat her ailments. She did a tremendous amount of research for her Parkinson's and cancer. With doctors, her research and a strong faith, Anne fought until the very end. She showed her family what true resilience and perseverance looks like. Anne's family is grateful for the extra time they spent with her this past year.

Anne will be greatly missed by her loving family and always remembered in their hearts.

We are sincerely grateful to the many friends, coworkers and community who have given our family support and comfort during this time of loss. There will be a private funeral service. We ask in lieu of flowers, donations are made in Anne's honor to the nonprofit Lower Cape Fear LifeCare who provided amazing care to Anne and helped counsel our family during this difficult time. Donations can be made at at http://lcfh.org or by check payable to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare and mail to:
