PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Pittsfield football team stayed unbeaten with a big win over Ludlow, 58-13, at home on Friday night.

Marcus Jubrey proved to be too much to handle for Ludlow's defense, throwing two touchdowns and rushing for four. Jubrey led the team in rushing yards with more than 280 yards on the ground, three of which came in the first half.

Pittsfield came out firing on all cylinders starting with the defense. The Generals held Ludlow to three consecutive three-and-outs, giving the ball to their offense to do their thing.

PIttsfield scored its first touchdown through the air with a nice screen pass from Jubrey to Elias Robinson, who ran it in from 35 yards out. Pittsfield's next two touchdowns came from Freddy Conyers, the first on a punt return from deep in their own end to give them a 14-0 lead. Conyers second touchdown of the game came in the passing attack when he caught a deep ball from Marcus Jubrey for a 45-yard score.

Pittsfield held a 22-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and showed no signs of slowing down on either end of the ball. Ludlow did its best to keep it competitive, finally getting on the board in the second quarter, but Pittsfield had too much firepower to keep up with.

Jubrey would got his first rushing touchdown of the night that was followed by a nice defensive play by Rodellio Mack who intercepted the ball giving it back to Jubrey who broke a long 77-yard touchdown to make it 34-7.

“Rodellio [Mack] had a wrist or thumb issue a couple weeks ago and is progressively getting back to being healthy,” Pittsfield coach Brian Jezewski said. “He's a great player and a smart football player and we're fortunate to have him back and getting healthy at the right time.”

Jubrey scored one more time before the break capping off an incredible first half both throwing and rushing giving them a 42-13 lead.

“That 3-4 defense gave us some fits all week in practice but our scout coaches and scout team did a great job preparing our starters and our backups did a good job pushing them to get better every week,” Jezewski said. “We have some guys that want to put the ball in their hands and obviously Marcus Jubrey is one of them.”

Pittsfield came out for the second half similar to how it started the game, only this time it scored a quick touchdown before the defense got the dig in once again. Rodellio Mack’s number was called again, recovering a fumble on the first snap of the second half giving the offense great field position for them to score their final touchdown of the game which came from Conyers to finish off the game giving their second string some real game experience to finish off the half.

Pittsfield (6-0) will take its unbeaten streak into next week when they face off against city rival Taconic.
