Hurricane Defense Comes Up Big

CHESHIRE, Mass — Hoosac Valley used three interceptions, two by sophomore Tyler Mach, to breeze past visiting Taconic 33-8 on Saturday afternoon.  Mach's two interceptions came in the first half, the second of which he took back for a touchdown to give his team a two-score lead.

Senior captain Ian Hill had a monster game for the Hurricanes, rushing for 133 yards on just 8 carries and two touchdowns.  The Hoosac running backs combined for 327 yards on 38 rushes for a whopping 8.6 yards per carry average.

Hoosac will travel to North Adams on Saturday to take on rival Drury at 2:30 p.m.
