ADAMS, Mass — Hoosac Valley (3-2 Berkshire County, 3-2 overall) took a chance on Friday night, moving quarterback Matt Braman to running back and senior wide out Corey Puccio under center, the move worked out as they upset Wahconah 21-8 at Renfrew Field.  The Hurricanes used a steady rushing attack of Braman, Ian Hill, and Colby Gage to amass 223 yards against the Warriors.  Braman finished with 96 yards, Gage with 80, and Hill with 39 and a touchdown.

Braman ran well in his first game as running back but played even better on defense, recovering a fumble and scoring a touchdown on a 33-yard interception return in the fourth that put the game out of reach for Wahconah.

Wahconah (3-1, 3-2) struggled with turnovers, losing three fumbles on the night to go along with the interception for touchdown.  Quarterback Lane Grogan had a tough night, completing just four passes for 40 yards.

Hoosac travels to Pittsfield to take on the Generals at 7pm, Friday night Wahconah Park.  Wahconah hosts Monument Mountain on Friday night at 7pm as well.
