NORTHAMPTON, Mass — Three interceptions and a lost fumble were too much for Wahconah to overcome on Saturday as they lost their first game of the season 17-12 to Northampton in the annual Route 9 Rumble.

Junior Eli Pease got the Warriors (3-0 Berkshire County, 3-1 overall) on the board in the second quarter with a nine-yard run but his team was still down 10-6.

Wahconah quarterback Lane Grogan had a tough day with the turnovers but still posted 205 yards of passing on the day and scored a one-yard touchdown early in the fourth to cut Northampton's lead to five.
