LEE, Mass. -- David Haley took a through ball from Matt Carlow and beat the keeper one-on-one to score the game-winner for Hoosac Valley's boys soccer team in a 2-0 win over Lee on Tuesday afternoon.

Haley's goal came midway through the first half, and Colby Ells made 11 saves to preserve the shutout.

Steve Crouch added some insurance with seven minutes left when he converted a free kick from 30 yards out.

The Hurricanes (2-1-3), who welcomed back senior center midfielder Khalil Kareh, moved over the .500 mark for the first time this season. They will look to build on their winning record on Tuesday when they visit Drury, which tied Hoosac, 1-1, in the teams' season opener.
