BUCKLAND, Mass. -- A turnover in the box with 14 minutes left led to a wide-open goal that gave the Mohawk Trail Regional High School boys soccer team a 1-0 win over Drury on Friday.

Ben White converted the open chance to give his team the lead.

Moments later, it looked like Drury might do to Mohawk what Hoosac did to Drury in the teams' opener. But Drury's shot went just over the crossbar on the Blue Devils' best chance of the day.

Bryan Christian made eight saves for Drury (0-1-1). Josh Taylor stopped six shots for Mohawk.

"It was a tough, physical battle with both teams having some chances," Drury coach John Jacobbe said. "The boys played hard, but one defensive mistake led to our loss."

Drury will look for win No. 1 on Monday at home against Pioneer.
