NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Bradley Lupiani scored twice to lead the Mount Everett boys soccer team to a 4-0 win over Drury on Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles (4-0-1) got things started with an own goal midway through the first half and added three more before half-time.

"There was good play by both teams early," Drury coach John Jacobbe said. "We had a great chance to open the scoring, but Ryan Meyer stuffed a breakaway.

"Mount Everett scored on an own goal from a difficult cross, and the floodgates opened."

Jacobbe said his Blue Devils played well most of the day, but the Eagles are a tough opponent.

Garin Zigler scored the other goal for Mount Everett.

Three different players combined for seven saves in the Drury net.

The Blue Devils (0-6-2) will face another test on Friday when they host Wahconah.

"This is not the start we were hoping for, but we will be ready for our next game," Jacobbe said. "And at this point, we just have to take it one game at a time and grow as a team during these difficult times."
