Cornell's Hat Trick Lifts Drury Boys

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Steven Cornell scored three times Friday to lead the Drury boys soccer team to a 6-0 win over the Pioneer Valley Christian Academy.
 
Cornell registered the first hat trick for the Drury varsity in three years on a day when keeper Parker Rivard recorded five saves to earn his first varsity shutout.
 
Continuing the day of firsts for the Blue Devils, John Moore scored his first varsity goal.
 
Zach Davignon accounted for the other two goals and had an assist.
 
Noah Miller had a hat trick, after a fashion, with three assists.
 
Drury (3-07) hosts Westfield Tech on Monday.
