Scholz Scores Pair as Hoosac Valley Boys Blank Drury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – David Scholz converted a pair of first-half penalty kicks to help send the Hoosac Valley boys soccer team to a 4-0, season-opening win over Drury on Wednesday.
 
Ian Godfrey had a goal and an assist for the Hurricanes, scoring unassisted in the 46th minute and setting up Dylan Rohlfs for a goal nine minutes later.
 
Mike Szabo made four saves to earn the win in goal.
 
Parker Rivard and Colin Daly split time in goal for Drury, combining for nine saves.
 
The Blue Devils (0-1) host Westfield Tech on Monday.
 
Hoosac Valley (1-0) goes to McCann Tech on Friday.
