Late Corner Kick Trips Drury Boys on Road

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Set pieces were the order of the day Friday as the Putnam Voc boys soccer team edged Drury, 3-2.
 
Rovin Rojas curled in a corner kick in the 72nd minute to decide a contest that saw five goals scored on direct kicks.
 
He opened the scoring with a direct free kick for the only goal of the first half.
 
Hoal Vo then opened the second half by converting a penalty kick to give Putnam Voc a 2-0 lead.
 
Aaron Davio converted two PKs for Drury for his first two career goals, the second in the 67th minute to tie the game.
 
Parker Rivard stopped five shots in Drury's goal.
 
The Blue Devils (0-5-1) go to Hoosac Valley on Wednesday.
