FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- A long bus ride to Framingham might have took its toll on the McCann boys' soccer team, which allowed four goals in the first 15 minutes on its way to a 5-1 loss to Keefe Tech in the state vocational tournament on Wednesday.

The Hornets (9-9) played the Broncos even the rest of the way, but it was a costly stretch of allowing four goals in a span of eight minutes that did Adam Kozik's team in on Wednesday. Mattheus Miranda got things started in the seventh minute before Igor Morreira netted two goals within a span of two minutes. Before McCann could regroup, Ygor Pimenta added another goal in the 15th minute to put the visitors behind 4-0.

Keefe added another goal a minute into the second half before sophomore Shane Fuller finally got the Hornets on the board by finishing off a pass from senior Chad Raimer with 15 minutes left in the game.

McCann, which drew the No. 11 seed in the upcoming Division 3 Western Mass. tournament, will play at No. 6 Sabis at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
