MARLBORO, Mass. -- After 30 minutes of scoreless soccer, the McCann Tech boys started scoring with regularity on the way to a 4-0 win over Blue Hills on Thursday in the State Vocational Tournament semi-finals.

The Hornets (13-5-1) got the game-winner with 10 minutes left before half-time when Shane Fuller converted a chip over the top from Damon Couture.

After the break, Couture scored in the 43rd, 53rd 66th minutes to put the game away.

Fuller assisted on two of the goals, Jon Leal helped on the third.

"Blue Hills had a chance to make it a 2-1 game at the 50-minute mark but hit the post on a breakaway," McCann coach Tom Bona said. "Other than that, our defense played tough, limiting Blue Hills' chances."

Chris Gajda made seven saves in the win.

McCann plays for the State Voc finals on Friday at 3 p.m. at Westfield Voc.
