NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- Dan Litchfield and Nick Tomich each scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Mount Everett boys soccer team to  4-0 win over New Lebanon on Sunday afternoon in the championship game of the New Lebanon Tournament.

Litchfield scored the only goal the Eagles needed in the seventh minute with an assist from Brendan Dempsey.

Mount Everett (2-0) went on to add three goals in an eight-minute span of the second half, including a penalty kick from Tomich.

"The team played well in the beginning," Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. "It was nice to get a quick goal, and then the skies opened up and we played in a monsoon for the remainder of the first half.

"We came out in the second half with consistent pressure just like in the first half. We had some good opportunities missed, but we were able to put a couple more in quickly, which was nice because it gave us a chance to use some of the young guys who played really well in the minutes they got today."

Ryan Meyer and Patrick Silk combined for 10 saves in the Eagles' goal.

Mount Everett takes on St. Joseph on Tuesday.
