Minnechaug Too Much For Taconic

WILBRAHAM, Mass. — Minnechaug struck early against the Braves on Saturday afternoon as Conner Courtney scored assisted by Pat O'Shea in the 4th minute to take a 1-0 lead.

Taconic (1-5-1) struck back and took the lead when junior Dominic Nda scored on a pass from junior Pat Boua in the 23rd minute and junior Brad Reardon followed with a goal in the 26th minute, assisted by senior Myles Candelet.

Minnechaug answered five minutes later as Matt Chrmura scored to tie the game 2-2. The second half belonged to Minnechaug as the team scored goals in the 58th and 64th minute to put the game away. Chrmura scored his second goal of the day and Nick Rivet finished up the scoring. Goalkeeper Kevin Squires recorded three saves and Basile Addy had four for Taconic.

Taconic will host Longmeadow Monday, Oct 1, at 4 p.m.
