PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Chloe Accardi scored two goals Monday to lead the Wahconah girls soccer team to a 6-0 win over Hoosac Valley on Berkshire Community College's Gene Delea Field.

Sadie Anderson, Maria Gamberoni, Jilly Cote and Olivia Gamberoni each scored a goal for Wahconah, which took a 2-0 lead into half-time.

"I was very happy the way we played in the first half," Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. "We were moving the ball and generating offense. Wahconah was very strong and they had some solid chances and converted. We tended to hang back, and they were able to get off plenty of shots."

Emily Godfrey made 12 saves, and Emma Meczywor stopped seven shots for the Hurricanes (0-2).

Wahconah (0-1) plays Mount Everett at BCC on Wednesday. Hoosac Valley goes to Monument Mountain on Thursday.
