LUDLOW, Mass. -- The Ludlow boys soccer team Saturday handed Mount Greylock a 2-0 loss.

The Lions outshot the Mounties by a margin of 14-4, but Mount Greylock coach Blair Dils indicated that those numbers do not tell the story of a solid performance by his squad’s defense.

“Ludlow is a very technical team,” Dils said. “We did well to limit their scoring opportunities and had very good chances in the second half to equalize. David Falk was very strong in goal, and the entire team's organization on defense was strong despite giving up two goals.”

Falk was credited with four saves in the loss.

Mount Greylock (0-2) goes to Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
