SOUTH DEERFIELD, Mass. – Eamon Hetherington and Matteo Chang each scored a goal Friday as the Mount Greylock boys soccer team earned a 2-1 win over Frontier.

Hetherington got the scoring started with a first half goal on an assist from Caleb Low. Chang scored unassisted midway through the second half.

Twelve minutes later, Frontier got on the board with an own goal.

““The defensive effort tonight was excellent,” Mount Greylock coach Blair Dils said. :It was tough giving up the own goal and we were in our final third for much of the final quarter hour of the match. But tonight we were able to hold the lead because of some heroic defending from The three captains, Josh Rudin, AJ Kruger and Eamon Hetherington.”

Mount Greylock (3-3-3) hosts Westfield on Tuesday.
