Monument Mountain Bounces Back With 4-0 Win Over Taconic

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — It took a while for Monument to get going, but once they did, it led to four unanswered goals. Ace McAlister started the scoring in the 16th minute assisted by Chris Peretti.
 
Then in the 22nd minute Lucas Wartella scored his first of two goals, this one set up by Nick Masiero. Monument went into half time leading 2-0.
 
Peretti came out quick in the second half and scored a goal of his own assisted by Bobby Kinne. Wartella netted his second goal in the 76th minute, all of the scoring in a 4-0 final.
 
Taconic goal keeper Kevin Squires had eight saves while the Spartan keeper made four. Both teams next play on Thursday, Oct. 25. Monument faces Lenox and Taconic visits Mount Greylock, both at 4 p.m.
