Yeung Leads Monument Mountain Boys to Road Win in Opener

HADLEY, Mass. -- Patrick Yeung scored a pair of goals Tuesday to lead the Monument Mountain boys soccer team to a 3-0 win over Hopkins Academy in the season-opener for both teams.
 
Yeung scored the game-winner with an assist from Noell Powell in the 19th minute.
 
Eleven minutes later, Powell notched an unassisted goal to give the Spartans a two-score margin at half-time.
 
With 10 minutes left to play, Powell set up Yeung for his second tally.
 
Jackson Blanchard and Rhys Curtis split time in the Monument Mountain goal, combining for two saves.
 
The Spartans host Frontier on Thursday.
