Pittsfield Boys Come Back to Tie Monument Mountain

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Cole Masiero scored in the 69th minute to give the Pittsfield boys soccer team a 2-2, come-from-behind tie against Monument Mountain on Thursday.
 
The Spartans took a 2-0 lead into half-time on a pair of goals by Avery Manzoni in the first seven minutes of play.
 
Pittsfield finally got on the board in the 14th minute of the second half when Luke Peplowski scored.
 
Fifteen minutes later, Masiero provided the equalizer.
 
Pittsfield's Avi Snowise and Monument Mountain's Max Kohlkins made eight and seven saves, respectively.
 
The Generals (3-4-1) are at West Springfield on Saturday.
 
Monument Mountain (3-4-1) host Mount Everett on Wednesday.
