Pittsfield and Lenox Play to a 1-1 Tie

LENOX, Mass. — Pittsfield Generals scored its first goal of the season when junior Claudio Velez found senior Darrien Chambers in the 4th minute, who beat Lenox sophomore goaltender Trevor Hathaway for a 1-0 lead. Lenox (3-2-1)then controlled most of the play and spent most of the time on Pittsfield's defensive side of the field. 

Late in the first half the Millionaires finally broke through with a goal from senior Andrew Vickery assisted by senior Alex Pratt, leaving the game at 1-1 at the half.

The second half was more like the first only it was Pittsfield (0-4-1) controlling the play. Both teams battled but Pittsfield had the edge. With no one able to score, Pittsfield head coach Andrew Antil called time out with five seconds left. 

Pittsfield had a corner kick, and when the Generals headed the ball to the right of the goal the game was over. Hathaway recorded six saves for Lenox while Pittsfield's Harrison Rapant saved nine. Both teams go on the road on Thursday, Sept. 27. Lenox will play at St. Joe's while Pittsfield will travel to Drury. Both games start at 4 p.m.
