PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Henry Rauscher scored three goals Monday to lead the Monument Mountain boys soccer team to a 6-0 win over Taconic.
Robert Baldwin opened the scoring with a goal midway through the first half, and Taconic kept it a 1-0 game at half-time.
Rauscher started the second half with a goal on an assist from Nate Lacombe in the 49th minute, and Lacombe scored a goal himself a minute later.
After Rauscher scored twice more to put the Spartans up, 5-0, Garrett Happ set up Will Casara for the final goal in the 68th minute.
Kevin Kelly earned the win in Monument’s goal. Colby Sherman made 18 saves for Taconic (0-4), which hosts Mount Everett on Wednesday.
Monument Mountain (2-1-1) travels to Lenox next Monday.
